1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how visitors use the site. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage, which work in much the same way.
2. How we use them
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you signed in to the verified-client portal between visits.
- Remember your language choice (Arabic or English) and dark/light theme preference.
- Remember your saved projects, areas, and developers without forcing a sign-in.
- Measure aggregate usage to improve performance and user experience.
- Detect fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access attempts.
3. Types of cookies we use
| Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Authentication, session, CSRF protection — cannot be disabled. | Session / 30 days |
| Preferences | Language, theme, recently viewed, saved items. | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Aggregate visit counts, popular pages, referrers (anonymised). | Up to 24 months |
| Marketing (opt-in only) | Ad attribution and conversion tracking. | Up to 12 months |
4. Your choices
- Strictly necessary cookies are always on — without them the portal cannot function.
- All other cookies can be enabled or disabled when you first visit the site, and changed any time from your browser settings.
- Most browsers let you block third-party cookies, clear all stored data, or browse in private/incognito mode.
How to manage cookies in your browser
Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, and Opera all let you control cookies in Settings → Privacy & Security. On iOS and Android, the system browser controls apply to web views.
5. Third-party cookies
We currently use the following third-party services that may set cookies:
- Cloudflare CDN — performance, DDoS protection.
- Google Fonts — typography delivery (no profiling).
- OpenStreetMap / CARTO — map tiles for project locations.
- WhatsApp Click-to-Chat — only when you click the WhatsApp button.
6. Updates
We may update this policy as we add or remove tools. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
