We operate the website at thegateinvestments.com, the verified-client investor portal, and accompanying iOS and Android mobile applications (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data and your rights regarding it.

By using our Services you acknowledge the practices described here. Where local data-protection law (such as the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151/2020, the EU GDPR, or California CCPA) grants you stronger rights, those rights prevail.

• Contact details — name, email, phone, preferred language, country of residence.
• Identity verification — National ID, contract code, and signed sales agreements (verified clients only, used to match ownership records).
• Account credentials — password (hashed and salted; never stored in plaintext) and one-time verification codes.
• Service requests — details you share when requesting a consultant call, property valuation, resale, rental, or investment advice.
• Payment receipts — proof of payment files you choose to upload through the portal.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage — IP address, device type, browser, OS, referring page, pages viewed, search queries, and timestamps.
• Location (approximate) — derived from IP. We do not access precise GPS unless you explicitly grant the mobile app permission.

• To match verified clients with their existing ownership records and grant access to the investor portal.
• To send transactional notifications (installment reminders, request status updates, OTP codes) related to your account.
• To respond to your inquiries, callback requests, valuations, and service requests.
• Marketing & Brokerage Agreements. When you authorize THE GATE to market a unit (resale, rental, listing, marketing), we use the data you provide (name, phone, email, national ID/passport, address, unit details) solely to: generate the bilingual legal Agreement PDF, verify ownership, contact you to complete documentation, capture your electronic signature or your uploaded signed copy, and maintain an audit trail of all consent and signature events. This processing is necessary for the performance of the brokerage contract and is retained as required by Egyptian commercial law.
• To improve our Services through aggregated analytics and product research.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access; to comply with legal obligations.
• With your explicit opt-in, to send marketing communications about new launches and exclusive opportunities. You can opt out at any time.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data based on one or more of the following lawful bases:

• Contract — to perform our services for you (account activation, portfolio management, payment tracking).
• Consent — for marketing communications, optional cookies, and other purposes where consent is required.
• Legitimate interests — for fraud prevention, service security, and limited analytics that do not override your rights.
• Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws (tax, anti-money-laundering, court orders).

• Passwords are stored using salted, slow hashing (bcrypt-class).
• Access to portal data is gated by role-based permissions; sales staff cannot read another client's payments without an audited reason.
• Our infrastructure is monitored for unauthorised access; we maintain an incident-response plan and will notify affected users without undue delay.

Our Services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
